Start your day off on a positive note! Assuming the pandemic rules permit, we’ll be reinstating our popular “Everyman’s Choir” this year. Director Alexander Lüken is putting together a very singable repertoire based on Schubert’s wonderful “Holy, Holy, Holy” Sanctus from the German Mass D872. And with any luck, the more experienced singers will get together for an additional vocal ensemble to work on more ambitious a cappella pieces. In any case, the results will be presented at an informal concert on Friday.
Sessions take place from Monday, August 2nd – Friday, August 6th, from 9:09 til 10:10 a.m. Venue tba. Participation is free and it is not necessary to register in advance – just drop in! Maybe you’ll be tempted to sing along at the top event this year: Everyman’s Schubert on August 6th. Admission is free.
Particularly experienced singers can sign up for a vocal ensemble that will join Alexander Lüken as director and participating tenor to work on more ambitious a cappella pieces. More information at “Festival Artists’ Classes”. Alexander Lüken is a student of Marcus Creed’s and director of the Young Chamber Choir of Cologne (Germany).
Sessions of one hour every day from August 2nd – 6th. Total cost in Euros (for 5 days): 50,– Euros per person, members of the Society of Friends of the Summer Festival get in free.
